Sustainability Practices

Colinas Farming Company continues to promote and practice sustainable farming
and at all times utilize  “best management practices.”  Nearly all of the vineyards we manage are either certified by Fish Friendly Farming (FFF) or are in process.  Those that are not in FFF program are in other organic certification programs.
We are actively involved in the Rutherford Dust River Restoration program and consider ourselves stewards to any riparian waterway in proximity to where we farm.

Additionally, we always seek ways to encourage bio-control and bio-diversity through such means as installation of owl and blue bird boxes throughout all of our
managed properties.
We closely monitor disease and pest pressures and always use organic pesticides or least toxic alternatives when designing our crop protection programs.
