August - National Immunization Awareness Month

Colinas Farming Company is proudly participating in National Immunization Awareness Month sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, shots can prevent infectious diseases like measles, diphtheria, and rubella. But people in the U.S. still die from these and other vaccine-preventable diseases. It’s important to know which shots you need and when to get them.

Talk to your doctor or nurse to find out which immunizations you need.

Talk to your doctor about vaccines.

If you have kids, a back-to-school trip to the doctor’s office is probably on your to-do list this month. Getting vaccines (shots) is one of the most important ways to protect your kids. But shots are also important for adults. If you’re not protected from illnesses, you could be putting your kids at risk, too.

Below is information about immunization and influenza. Take a moment to review the attached information provided by our health care provider, Anthem Blue Cross and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention about vaccines for kids and adults. Then talk to your doctor about the best ways to protect your family.
